A small pavillion in the Portland Chinese Gardens. The formal name of the gardens is Lan Su Chinese Gardens and this is known as the Fish Pavillion. Scholars wanted to be hermits in the mountains, but duties at court and family kept them in the city. Chinese gardens are made to evoke being surrounded by nature on the mountains.
